FRIDAY FICTIONEERS - ROADSIDE ATTRACTION - MY 100 WORDS BY LINDA PALUND - AKA Laura Dunlap

ROADSIDE ATTRACTION

“Jeez, look what they tossed from that bus!”

            “Is she dead?”

            “I don’t think so.”

            “Don’t touch her, man!”

“I’m just going to feel for that pulse in her throat.

“Don’t turn her over! What if her neck’s broken?”

“Look at that, her shirt’s torn open!

“I don’t care, man.  Leave her alone!”

“She’s down for the count. I’ll just feel for any broken bones.  Hmmm, that’s nice...”

That’s when Two Gun Girlie opened her eyes.  Her leg shot up and her steel-toed cowgirl boot caught him under the chin.

She’d lost her guns, but not her pride.

  1. Linda, it's too early in the day for the word "tits." That said, the kick in the chin did calm me down a bit!

Have any pictures of Two Gun Girlie? I sense a recurring character.

  2. Yes, I was wondering what I could get away with. It was a bit more salacious int he first longer version. But another yes, I have just created Two Gun girlie to be my new Science fiction heroine. She's a cowgirl of the future and I have only just written my first chapter. There's a pretty salacious self portrait in this opening chapter, too. and Oh, she's gay and in love with an even more stunning creation and they will get it on. Oh dear....

  3. My mind thought she kicked him a bit lower. Oh, well, the chin will work when you're using steel-toed cowboy boots. My cowboy boots don't have steel toes, but they would still convey a world of hurt.

  4. I guess because he was kneeling beside her, she wasn't going to kink him in the crotch, and she happens to be very agile, so even though you don't know her as a character (since I just invented her a few days ago) she is agile enough to kick him anywhere. she likes to deliver a world of hurt. She'll get those folks on the bus next...

  5. She sounds like a survivor. I feel a song coming on. ;) Nice piece with lots of potential in the character as you describe her. Well done.

  7. This makes for a great introduction to Two Gun Girlie, Cosmic Cowgirl of the Future. I do find my mind wandering to that episode of Firefly when Mal and Co had a ship-load of cattle to transport between worlds. TGG would fit right into Firefly's world IMHO. :-)

    1. Gee, I so miss watching Firefly. That was such a great show. And yes, I hope to bring Two Gun Girlie into a future, not quite like Joss's, but a future where they will need the special assets of Girlie. Thanks, Laura

  8. I'm with Janet, and expected a kick to the groin. In any event, he had it coming. Sounds like Two Gun Girlie will generate a lot of action-packed adventure.

I have only written the first chapter of my sci fi adventure series, but I hope Two Gun Girlie will be a winner - TWO GUN GIRLIE IN OUTER SPACE - Otherwise, this will be my third unpublished novel Grrrr.... I still want the recognition before I self publish, but I am running out of patience....

  12. I don't think she needs her guns to defend herself. Nice story.

  13. Yes, she's pretty agile, but she does love her guns.
